父母已拿美國綠卡一年，去年下半年回國，當時計劃半年內回美，所以沒申請RP。
不想老父親回國後突然重病住院，母親又必須留在身邊照顧。看情況一年內都沒法再回美國。
RP又必須本人在美國才能申請，聽說打指紋後才能離開美國，而打指紋時間可能長達2至3個月都有可能。
我們的想法是如何幫母親保住綠卡，將來也好在身邊照顧。
請問有什麽好的辦法？
如果本人1年內實在不能回美，會發生什麽情況，有什麽補救辦法嗎？

Your father can apply for the SB-1 visa to come back to activate his green card because his illness is the reason for SB-1 visa application. But it seems difficult for your mother to get the SB-1 visa. He can apply for the SB-1 visa in any one of the US Consulates in China.
