請教皮老師和8老師, finger printing

Thanks to teach8, I followed up with USCIS NSC today, and they confirmed that the new EB-2 I-140 was linked to my previously submitted I-485. However, they also told me they were sending me a finger print notice as of 5/1/12. I already did finger printing when the I-485 was submitted in 2007, and I assumed they'd done the background check already. There has been no update on the case status check online since 2010.

Does this new finger print notice means there's very little chance that they'd approve my I-485 before the visa number runs out before June?

Would they also send me another medical exam notice after?
