1 is yes.
2 is no. But you do need a J1 waiver before you can get a H1.
3. You have to have J1 waiver before you can change your status. But you can change your major and school under J1 status.
4. It shouldn't be hard for your daugter to get a J2 visa, as long as you show them that you have enough money for her.
