When you use your Advance Parole to go to China, you need to let the person at the airline luggage check-in counter take the I-94 card from your passport. You do not need it anymore since from then on you do not have non-immigrant status anymore. Then when you come back to the US, you still need to wait in the line with those non-citizens to pass Immigration. But you can let the officer or whoever employee you see there know that you have an AP, the employee might let you go forward instead of wait as other non-immigrants do. So,, when the officer is dealing with your case, he will have a look at your AP, stamp your passport and you are in. Do not forget to take your AP back. You might need it again.
