我女兒也是f1,485pending, 明年要去graduate school, 我們想讓她保持f1身份，怕AOS後萬一綠卡被拒（隻是萬一），必須離境，她就不能繼續學業了。我們想著從一個學校轉到另一個學校，隻是I-20換一下，f1身份可以不變。期間她不離開美國。

請問8老師，她是否必須換成AOS？

-Because USCIS is not involved in F-1 transfer, your child probably still can do the F-1 transfer and thus, continue her F-1 status. Anyway, not hurt her to do it. If it fails, her status will automatically be AOS (do nothing). But she has to use AP to travel internationally (she will not get the F-1 visa again).
