what if perents name were never recorded anywhere?

Thanks Teacher 8. from your link,I see why it can't, because it did not record her parents name. However, in old China, there was no such record for poor families. So if her 退休單位 won't do it, what other ways can you suggest?

......因為戶口本上已經沒有他們父母 的名字，如果沒有過硬的後門，公證處怕擔風險“公事公辦”口說無憑，還不給辦理。一個鄰居，曾經讓國內親友多次跑幾百裏到農村原籍的派出所開證明他爺爺奶 奶的名字，費時費力費錢，而城裏人如果原籍拆遷了還不能辦。後來是我的的返聘單位關係比較鐵，出了個證明“我們的父母名字和出生地”，公證處說隻要有根據 就給辦理了。
