better stay at school until you got the green card. You can find a job now, you will find a job anytime then.

Better keep H-1, then your wife can come with a H-4 visa, after she is here, join her with your 485 application at once, she can get AP very quick, then go back finish her degree. As long as she come back to states within AP deadline and file a new AP application, she is safe. If you apply GC for her after u get GC, it will take years, and she can't live current country--either China or US at that time.

GC is more important than a job now.
