My hu*****and has a family emergency and has to go back to China in a couple of days. He is holding a H4 visa and also has an AP. He should get the GC soon. But he can't wait for the GC. I understand that he could use AP to get back to the U.S. and he should fill in an I-94 card when he comes back to the U.S. My questions are:
1. Does he need to submit his current I-94 (H4) to the U.S. custom when he leaves the U.S.?
-Yes, have to submit it to the airlines.
2. He will stay in China for about 2 months to take care of his parents. Will this influence his I-485 application/process?
-Not at all.
