I just received the new EAD, but the valid date is wrong - it's in 2010.
-Do you mean the expiration date is in 2010? If so, you need to file a new I-765 and send this wrong EAD back (with the I-765) to USCIS for a repalcement.
The question is what should I do? Can I use it work? Will HR accept it as an effective employment authorization?
-Talk to your HR and if they accept it, you are fine. Techncially, you are autorized to work because your EAD actually approved and the incorrect information on your EAD is not your fault, but USCIS's. Of course, your HR has the right not to accept or to accept this wrong EAD.
