I thought "the ability to pay" is only applied on i140 application.

-Not true. It is from the date of the PERM filing to the date your I-485 is approved unless you changed yoru employer after your I-485 pending > 180 days.

 

For my case, i140 has been approved. I am about to submit i485. Will uscis still have to verify the "ability to pay" of my employer or if my salary reaches the requirement on PERM?
