My EB1A based i485 has been pending 9 months, as required, i already payed 485 application fee and biometric fee at the beginning, but today i got Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Bill from National Visa Center to ask me $794 as visa processing fee. I am confused, do i need to pay this even i already payed the 1485 application fee?
-I think USCIS made a mistake to forward your I-140 to the NVC because they thought you would apply for the immigration visa in China using consular processsing. You do not need to pay anything and just reply to NVC that you have filed I-485 in US, not need consular processing. At the same time, contact USCIS by calling or visit USCIS local office to ask them to process your I-485. Had better visit the local office and calling also.
