Do I still have H1B status if I enter USA by AP (instead of H1B

Hi,

My H1B will expire in a month, I have received EAD and AP after filing I-485. My company is going to file my H1B extension soon. If I go to China in March (the H1B extension application will not be approved yet by that time), and I use AP to return to USA. Will my H1B status still be valid after that?
