about 485 - PiJiang and 8 teacher please!

My hu*****and's priority date is current but didn't get any notice from the lawyer (the company hires). Email the lawyer at the end of last week but still didn't get reply yet.It seems that the lawyer doesn't plan to fill 485 soon yet. Also my hu*****and was told that the approved I-140 is the company's property and will not be given a copy. Is there anything that we can do so that our 485 will be filled as soon as possible? If we don't have the i-140 approval notice copy , we cannot file 485 by ourselves, right? My H1 will expire in September.

Should we do the meical exam as soon as possible? Do we have to go to a specific doctor or place to do the exam or any doctor is ok? If we do the medical exam later after filling 485, will it delay the process compared to finishing the exam before filling 485?

Any suggestion will be appreciated!
