老師好！我是H1身份在美工作，女兒是H4在美上高中，我準備等女兒進入大學後就回國，請問女兒的身份是一定要由H4轉換成F1的吧？

-Yes if you will not come back in a short period of time.

是進入大學後開始辦身份轉換嗎？

-Yes if you  are still in US before your child enters college.

大概需要多長時間辦這個轉換身份？

-Normally 3 to 6 months, case by case. But after she files the change of status, she can stay and study in US even if you leave US.
