老公拿到綠卡後,再申請我的綠卡可以嗎?

老公H1正在申請綠卡,而我想帶著寶寶回國待幾年,寶寶是美國出生,請問,如果我老公拿到綠卡後,再申請我的綠卡,需要多長時間??? 在我的綠卡申請期間,我需要回到美國嗎?????
