I Don't think you need to worry about this kind of thing at this point. If you can come back to US and your EB3 I-140 is approved, you can work for your current employer. Then, if you have a chance to get a EB2 position in another employer, you can apply for the EB2 and use the EB3 I-140 priority date as the EB2 I-140, and thus, you will get your green card faster. So, your EB3 I-140 is very helpful.
