續前幾日太太的case, 我EB2主申請人8月排期到，當月中綠了，太太的一直無動靜。case 在local office，infopass說name check cleared 2 years ago. 昨日congressional inquiry feedback 是因為some unresolved issue of background check.

我們的問題就是name checked clear? = background check cleared?

-Nearly yes. Name check is one type of the background check. There are 3 types of background check (FBI name check, IBIS name check and FBI fingerprint check). Normally FBI name check may take longer time (may take one year or more for some people), but the other two should take very short time to finish (several days). So, if your FBI name check is finished, you should be counted as background check cleared.
