My application (PERM/I-140/I-485) was filed by the Lawyer Office. After I was laidoff from my sponsor company, I didn't continue to use the lawyer. 1).If my case is rejected, can I file the MTR by myself?

2).Will/Should my previous lawyer be contacted?
-USCIS may still send the correspondence about your case to this lawyer unless you have requested USCIS that you have cancelled this lawyer service and you also informed the lawyer that you stop hiring him/her. But if USCIS send the correspondence about your case to the lawyer, the lawyer still has the responsibilities to forward USCIS correspondences to you even if yoy stop hiring him/her
