我是婚姻綠卡，應該下個月拿到臨時綠卡，但是我現在身份為OPT （直到2013年過期，但是我還沒更新，應該這個月RENEW）。
如果我拿到綠卡後，是否應該通知公司HR關於身份調整？
-Yes. You need to show them the green card to update your status with HR.
如果不通知他們，會不會有漏稅的嫌疑？
-Your income tax has nothing to do with your employer. Even if you do not report your green card status to your employer, you still need to pay the income tax to IRS and your state based on resident tax from the date you get the GC, not non-resident tax anymore. If you don't, your GC will be invalid automatically.
（因為OPT隻需要交FERDERAL TAXES) 如果不通知會有什麽後果？
-It is required by law and not hurt to you report your green card to the employer, so why do you worry about that?
我能否用OPT直到過期日2013？
-Your F1/OPT automatically is invalid after you get the green card.
還是必須通知HR？
-Yes if you get the GC.
我應該renew OPT 麽？
-No. Even if you do not get the GC yet, USCIS will not approve your OPT extension because you have immigration intent (filing I-485).
