Thanks for your help. Here is what I plan to do. Go to talk with the program director at the current university first. If he agrees, I can start using my CPT.
-Fine. It is good if you can use CPT. I am not sure whether you can, but not hurt you to try, anyway.
If not, I would go back to my old university and get a new I-20.
However, which option allows me to start earlier?
-Of course, only CPT can allow you to work before Oct. 1 in your case.
