Under the Visa Waiver Program, travellers to the U.S. from some countries do not need a U.S. Visitor Visa (for a stay of less than 90 days) but only if travelling with a machine readable passport. Citizens of these countries need to show ties to Canada at the port of entry such as ongoing registration with the University. Those who do not have a machine readable passport will need to apply for a U.S. Visitor Visa.
