I'll file I130 and I485 for my parents.
I have two methods for their green card application.
(1)After they go back to China, I will file I130 and I485.
(2)I file I 130 for them now. After I130 is approved, I will file I 485. But at that time, my parents may be in China.
I want to know which method is better.
-Both your above choices are not doable.
Here are your choices:
1. You file I-130 and your parents file their I-485 when they are present in US. Then, your parents apply for the Advanced parole (AP) at the same time when they file I-485. After they get the AP, they can use the AP to travel to China. Of course, this choice will take some time for your parents to get the AP for going to China
2. You file I-130 ny time and indicate/choose in the I-130 that your parents will apply for the immigration visa in the US Consulate in Guangzhou. Thus, the USCIS and NVC will process your case and then they will inform your parents to apply for the immigation vis in Guangzhou. In this choice, your parents can go to China any time, but it may take 6 months to one year or more for them to get the immigration visa (green card visa).
You only have these two choices I mention here.
