B2 visa approved, but haven't got passport back

hi,

My mom went to shanghai for B2 visa interview. She got approved,but she didn't get her passport mailed back to her for over 10 days. We booked tickets for her next week.

1. Anybody know what might happened?
2. What can we do to expedite the process? check the status?
