My case was worse. my PD is in 2005 EB3, I would have gotten GC long ago if I had the EB2, I also have master's degree. The issue was 1. Not easy to justify the min job requirement is master's degree; 2. You cannot use the working experience from the same company for upgrading EB3 to EB2 (our lawyer said), otherwise I would have done the upgrade long time ago.
