H1-B Renewal

My current H-1B will expire in one month.I'm working on renewing my H-1B renewal for another 3 years. The new extention date will be July 2014.  But I find my passport will expire on Feb. 2012. Will this be OK for me to get the extension period through July 2014 on the new H-1B notice and I-94 card?  I'll definitely renew my passport later.
