If your parents were in the U.S. you can file I-130 together with I-485. The processing time varys depending on the local CIS offices (in San Jose Area of California, it takes about 6-8 months for interview).

If your parents are in China now, you can only file I-130. After I-130 approval, the CIS will transfer the case to National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will send fee bill in about 3 months to you. After you mail money order or casher check to NVC, it will issue Packet 3 and Affidavit of Support in about 1-2 months. Then you/your parents fill in the above forms and mail back. NVC will forward all these to Guangzhou for it to issue interview notice.
