We did tell the international student office that there was an F2 dependent. They did issue me a new I20, the same time as they issued the I20 for my hu*****and's OPT application.
-If your new I-20 covered the dates USCIS was talking about, you are fine. Just provide a copy of the I-20 and a copy of your spouse's I-20 (for the OPT) for your response to the RFE. You may also ask the International Student Office to see whether they put your F2 extension to the SEVIS. If yes, ask them to provide print-out or a letter to prove you have extended your F2 to cover the dates USCIS mentioned. If the International student office forgot to put the information into the SEVIS, ask them to reinstate it now and give you a letter it was their fault. Anyway, you will be fine.
What was missing here is that there is not remark on my I20 about my hu*****and's OPT application, while his I20 has the OPT information on it. Did they forget to place the OPT remark on my I20 at the time? Or I had to have asked them to do so at the time?
