I have invited a New York fashion designer to visit a Shanghai fashion Co. where my niece works. The New York designer’s father has also decided to go with his daughter. Both of them have never been in China before. For their visit, I will travel to Shanghai at the beginning of June to serve as their translator. The designer’s father has just sent me an email:
I have been studying Visas and downloading forms to obtain a Visa from the Chinese Consulate. Should my daughter and I just get "tourist" visas instead of "business" visas since at this point we are just visiting? Or should my daughter get a business visa?
How should I answer his question? What’s advantage and disadvantage for getting a business vista or a tourist visa?
I am not doing any business. I teach. The New York designer’s father is one of my colleagues in another university.
Thank you for your advice.
Business Visa or Tourist Visa?
