Urgent question related to Chinese Passport - Need Help!

Sorry I cannot type Chinese in this computer, but I do need your kind help: I applied Canadian greencard in 2005. Since I landed Canada 6 years ago, I have never been to Canada and do not plan to get the canadian citizenship. Recently, I went to the NY consulate to change my Chinese passport. They told me that I need to get a documents from Canadian consulate to say that I give up the canadian citizenship. However,they don't have the name of documents. Anyone here can help me? What kind of document and procesure I need to go through to get this proof? Thanks a lot!
