You have 2 issues to consider, non-immigrant H-1B and immigrant GC.

1) The new employer may file I-129 transfer for you, and you may start to work for new employer as soon as I-129 has been filed.

2) If your I-140 is PERM based, you keep its PD only and need to start over your GC application
