a person is working with H-1B, if he lose the job, how long will he get to find other employer who can transferring his H-1B.
-Technically, if he is laid off, his H1 status is invalid, but pratically, if he can find a job in one to two months and do the h1 transfer, his h1 transfer normally will be approved fully. If he find a job more than two months, his H1 transfer normally will be approved without I-94, and thus he needs to go outside US to get an H1 visa to come back to activate his H1 status.
