急問 Advance Parole 問題：Should I (H1-B holder) apply for AP?

I am going to file i-485. It says no additional fees if AP application is filed together. But it also says H visa holders do not need to apply for AP; they can apply another visa for reentry to the US. I will visit Taiwan and Mainland China in December for a month. It is not very possible for me to receive the green card before I go. I would prefer having AP over applying a H visa in China if possible. But I don't know if there is negative conscequences for me to apply for AP. Can you kindly advise me? Thanks in advance!
