我母親已拿到簽證（一年的有效期），準備於11月來美，我打算明年1月開始幫她申請綠卡。

（朋友說不要一來了就申請，為什麽？有道理嗎？）

-Yes, because you do not want to let the USCIS office think your mother intended to immigrate to US when she applied for the B2 visa and thus, deny her I-485. She had better apply for the green card after she entered US for 3 to 5 months.

本打算拿到綠卡再回國，但我想知道，如果我一月遞交了她的綠卡申請，在綠卡批下來之前，比如說4月，她可以回國幾個月，在9月再進來。 這樣可行嗎？

-Fine. She can use AP for the travel.
