Hi, thanks. I thought that instead of getting H1, I can apply for green card right after I get J1 waiver. But the government international office told me specifically that I need a H1b offer since I work for the government.

So back to my question: what's the earliest time point that I can apply for green card? right after J1 waiver or do I have to wait until I get both J1 waiver AND H1b offer?
