If your EAD is not bsed on I-485 (e.g. OPT EAD, J2 EAD, etc.), USCIS will assign a temporary A# on your EAD card and you can not know it until you get the physical card and if you contact USCIS for this number before you get the EAD card, they may not tell you that. So you may just wait and be patient in this case.
