My mom had interview in baltimore in Apr, and I tried to do translation for her, the officer did't allow. Then I asked whether my hu*****and could do the translation, the officer also said no initially, but since no one else was there who can help us, finally the officer was nice enough to agree that my hu*****and did the translation for my mom.

so finally my hu*****and did the translation, but it is better to get someone else to translate for your parents to avoid any trouble.
