if your case is outside of normal processing time, which is the true for most of the pending cases, the customer rep you speak to will automatically file a service request for you. If not, you can ask a serice request to be filed on your behalf. All you need to provide are the basic info of your case: case #, A#, PD, birthdate, address, contact info etc.
