回複：律師不給之前case的copy，有什麽辦法嗎？

07年找了個律師辦綠卡，辦到I140下來後公司倒閉，現在找了另一家公司重新辦換了律師，想跟前麵那個律師要之前的case(那時候太懶沒要copy),結果他知道我換了律師就故意不給，說是3年前的case已經不知道放到哪裏去了，或是shred掉了。
-The lawyer should have given you a copy of the approval notice after he/she got it and you have the right to have the copy. You can tell him/her to give it to you. If he/she lost the document, he/she has to ask USCIS to give him/her a duplicate. You may go to the court to solve this issue if necessary.

請問大家有相關文件說律師要保存幾年的case什麽的嗎（像是IRS對accounting有規定，文件一定要保留5年）？也給大家提個醒，現在無良律師太多了，一定要每辦個case都要留copy。謝謝。
