I checked my H-B extended paper.There is no I-94 attached to it. Now i am very confused about that.
-The copy you received was I-797C which is for you, not the employer. I-797C has no I-94 and it is normal. You should check it with your employer/lawyer for the I-797A which should have I-94.

If your employer receive I-797B which has no I-94, then you have to go outside US to get the H1 visa to activate your h1 status.
