How long does it take to get the physical card after approval?

I got the approval notice 2 days ago. I went to local office but they cant stamp on my passport yet since my case hasn't been updated in the system.
I am planning to go to China next week and come back with H1B (don't have AP). Now I don't think ambassy will issue me a H1B due to the approval.
This is the problem. How long does it take to get the physical card, normally? Or any other option?
