Response from senator

Our PD is March, 2003 (EB3). Wrote to senator for help. Last week we got a letter response from the senator saying that she was told by the USCIS that the case was assigned to an immigration officer and we should know the decision in 60 days. But there is no update for the online status yet. Does anybody have same experience? Usually how long it will take after the case assigned to an IO? Do we need to write to some other senators?
