Thanks. I thought in my case, I can work until Aug. 2005, then wait for approval. Suppose my H1B will be applied in April 2005. My question is when my H1B will be approved and valid? Valid immediatelly after approval? Sorry I have no clue about this.

"in your case, you have to lose almost 4 months which means after Aug 2005 you will not have any income" Do you mean that my H1B will be valid only in 2006? If that is the case, is that legal to stay in U.S. after Aug. 2005, i.e., after my OPT expires?
