回複：各位大俠，急問有關經濟擔保I-846的問題

本人婚姻綠卡，老公收入太低，無法為我作經濟擔保。我的一位老美朋友同意為我作擔保，當她看到擔保人的責任，即為被擔保人提供資金支持直到被擔保人成為美國公民或者得到40個工作季節（相當於10年）。就有點猶豫了，感覺責任太大。
我想問問，如果AP下來，我找到工作，並且報稅，那時，我的老美朋友可以撤銷經濟擔保嗎？
-As far as I understand, a person CAN withdraw the affidavit of support any time until the green card is issued. Once the green card is issued, you can not withdraw the 經濟擔保 (affidavit of support).

There are regulations effective as of June, 2006, that state that, in the event of an ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS case, a sponsor (substitute, joint, etc) or anyone, really, who has presented a signed Form I-864, the sponsor MAY DISAVOW HIS OR HER AGREEMENT TO ACT AS SPONSOR only if he or she does so IN WRITING and submits the document to the immigration officer or immigration judge BEFORE the decision on the adjustment application.
