485+AP is good for federal and may be state fin aid.

but may not be useful for institutional. if you income hapeen to can't get any from fed/state, then EAD and no need to show you money to scholl is the only advatage. disadvantage is in case 485 denied then...can only back to H-4 (if still <21).
