You need to make an appointment with US consutant to get the visa coming back. H-1 is a status, not a visa for you for right now. You apply the visa just like you did years ago when u try to get into US.

If you want to use AP, u can't leave US before it has been approved. Or you lose your 485 application.

The safest way is wait for your AP, bring with you. If your h-1 visa is rejected, then use AP to come back. In that case, u lose H-1.
