confused--seek clarification!!!

Is it true that all EAD applications with pending employment-based I485 have to be submitted to USCIS Lockbox Center at either Phenix or Texas depending on where one lives? Looks like Chicago Lockbox center only deals with those who received their previous EAD through Lockbox centers and with case heading as MSC. I need to renew my EAD soon. Please help clarify the confusion! Millions of thanks!
