What I'm not clear is because I travlled with expired AP, does it mean my I-485 is invoked automatically or it is still pending for the final decision based on the PD?
-Before USCIS send you the denial notice, your I-485 is still pending. Because the CBP officer granted you the Parolee I-94 (you were paroled into U.S.), I think your I-485 will be OK.

I checked on USCIS, my I-485 case status is still pending, but I'm not sure whether it's the latest update. (I'm dependent applicant, my hu*****and is primary applicant.)
