Can i apply for AP now or wait after EAD approval?

Let me ask a question to Pijiang Etc : I have already renewal my EAD card in March 2010. (Actual 1 year switches 2year, it will be expired in July2010).But it is not approval.Is it possible to apply my AP now or should wait for my EAD approval? I plan to use AP go back to China in July 2010 and do realize that i don't have much time left to get AP filed if so far not yet to get started working on it. Please tell me what i can do? Thank you for your kind help!
