我應該從H4轉成F1嗎？

老公正在準備申請綠卡的材料，大概下個月可以遞上去。 考慮到還有一年我就要找工作，想想可能轉成F1靠譜些。但即使申請成功，也是從秋季開始。
我的問題是如果過一陣子綠卡材料遞上去，轉身份會對綠卡申請有什麽影響嗎？有人說綠卡進入申請程序之後，我還得轉回原來的H4才行，是這樣麽？
