Can an H1B visa be extended after 3 years if I change job?

I have worked in a research institute with an H1B visa for one year, and I
want to change my job to work in another research institute. I am not sure
whether I can still extend my H1B after 3 years if I change my job. Anyone
knows such information? Thanks
